BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S

ELECTION NOTICE

 

The Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc. will hold an election for a Union County Representative of the Low-Income Population.

The Representative need not be low-income but must be chosen in a manner to ensure that they represent the low-income. To be elected, an individual must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Union County.

Individuals interested in having their names placed on the ballot should contact Meagen Wakeland at 386-362-4115 Ext. * 223 no later than 12:00 p.m., August19, 2026.

The election will be held September 2, 2026, from 9:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. at the Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc.’s (SREC) office located at 665 SW 4th Street Lake Butler, Florida 32054.

 

Listed below are the general duties of SREC, Inc. Board Members:
1.Sets major organizational, personnel, fiscal and program policies.
2.Determines overall program plans and priorities and evaluation of performance.
3.Final approval of all program proposals.
4.Enforcement of compliance with all conditions of State, Federal and Local grants.

The term of office as a SREC, Inc. Board member will be five (5) years (2026-2031).

The Board of Directors meet quarterly in Live Oak, Florida.
